Welcome to www.larondinecakes.com (the “Website”). This Website is owned and operated by La Rondine (Bedford) Limited Trading as La Rondine (“we”, “us”, “our”).

 

We are registered in England and Wales as La Rondine (Bedford) Limited Trading as La Rondine, our company number is 07667748 and VAT number is 409656628. Our registered office address is First Floor, Woburn Court 2 Railton Road, Woburn Road Industrial Estate, Kempston, Bedford, MK42 7PN

 

Below are the terms and conditions on which you may make use of La Rondine’s website and products, either as a registered user or as a guest (“Customer Terms”). We may from time to time update these Customer Terms.

 

By using this Website and placing orders with us, you are agreeing to our Customer Terms.

 

Please do not use our Website or place any orders if you do not agree to our Customer Terms.

 

 

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY/TRADEMARKS

Any material on this Website may be used for private use but may not be distributed or utilised for commercial or financial benefit.

All intellectual property in this Website and its content belongs to us and are protected by copyright laws around the world. 

No part of this Website – except for private use – may be used without our prior permission.

We cannot be liable for any bugs or viruses on our Website, and we cannot be protected at all times against hacking. You are responsible for using firewall and virus protection software when accessing our Website.

 

 

NOTICE

The notice period required for each product will be shown when you make an order.

 

If you require a cake on shorter notice than is available from our Website, please call us by phone and often we will be able to accommodate you. We can often turn around orders within hours.

 

 

CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES TO MY ORDER

If you wish to make any changes to your order, you will be able to online providing you do so 72 hours before the order is due to be ready.

 

If you wish to make any changes less than 72 hours before your order is due to be ready, please call us and we will try to accommodate you. However, we cannot guarantee to meet all of your demands and any changes may also incur an extra charge if it requires extra work.

 

If you wish to cancel your order, you will be able to online for most products, provided you do so 72 hours before the order is due to be ready.

 

If you wish to cancel an order online less than 72 hours before collection or delivery, there is a non-refund policy.

 

If you place an order to be ready within 72 hours, there is also a non-refund policy. However, please do call us by phone if you wish to cancel or change such an order and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

 

We cannot refund an order because you did not like the taste.

 

We cannot refund an order because the colour of a product differs from its online appearance.

 

Occasionally, due to lighting, computer or phone settings and the products we use, the colours on your order may not match up perfectly.

 

We cannot refund an order because you failed to collect it.

 

 

RETURNS

Upon collection or delivery of your order, we will show you the products to ensure you are happy.

 

We cannot accept a return unless we agree that there is something drastically wrong or different to what was ordered.

 

If there is anything you are unhappy with, please contact us by phone or come to our

shop as soon as possible and we will do our best to rectify your concerns.

 

 

COLLECTION FROM STORE

You can collect your order from our shop in Bedford. Our address is 12 Queen Street, Bedford, MK40 2HA.

 

Your order will be ready on the day and time you selected.

 

If you are going to be late to collect your cake, please contact us by phone. We will hold onto your cake until the end of its shelf-life.

 

It is fine for someone else to collect your order, provided they quote your order number and details.

 

 

DELIVERY

We currently have no delivery option online. However, we plan to introduce this at a later date.

 

We do, however, provide a delivery service for orders made by phone or in person.

 

Our delivery service runs from Monday to Saturday, inclusive. If you require delivery on a Sunday,

please call us and we may be able to accommodate you.

 

We require 48 hours notice for all deliveries.

 

We deliver within a five-mile radius within the UK at a charge of £6.00 per delivery. However, please call us if you live further than five miles from Bedford and we will often be able to accommodate you. We do not currently deliver internationally.

 

We cannot accept liability for failing to deliver an order after being provided an incorrect or incomplete address. Please ensure you leave your phone number so we can contact you if we are having trouble finding you.

 

We cannot accept liability for you missing a delivery during a selected time-slot.

 

 

FORCE MAJEURE

We shall not be held liable for the failure to complete an order where such failure is a direct or indirect consequence of a force majeure situation. Force majeure situations include war, act of God, terrorism, mobilization, viruses, cyber-attack, navigation errors, catastrophes of nature, strikes, lock-out, industrial strike or dispute, fire, damages to production plant, import and export regulations and other unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control.

 

 

PERSONALISED MESSAGES

You agree that any personal messages you request us to write on our cakes will not include anything that is vulgar, abusive, obscene, defamatory, racist, harassing, threatening or which may cause embarrassment or distress to any person or are otherwise unlawful. 

 

You are entirely responsible for any personal messages you request us to write on our cakes. We accept no liability for any such content. 

 

We have the right to refuse to write personal messages and terminate access to the relevant Services at any time and without liability to you if we deem your request is objectionable.

 

 

PRICES & PAYMENT

The prices of our products will be as quoted on our website.

 

However, if a price is clearly wrong on our website, we are under no obligation to provide you with the product – even after payment – at the incorrect lower price. In such a case, we will either agree to charge the correct price or to change/cancel the order.

 

Our prices are inclusive of VAT but exclude delivery costs, which will be added once if we are delivering to you.

 

We will from time to time make slight changes to the costs of our products. However, if these changes occur after you have placed an order, you will be charged at the old price.

 

 

CAKE STORAGE

 

All cakes that you order from us should be refrigerated until they are ready to eat.

Cakes with Italian cream should be consumed within 48 hours.

 

Cakes with Fresh cream should be consumed within 24 hours.

 

When transporting and storing our products, please ensure they are placed in an upright position with nothing on top.

 

 

NUTRITION & ALLERGENS

 

For every product on our website, you will find a list of ingredients and information on nutrition and allergens.

 

The products sold in-store contain the same ingredients as those online.

 

Our bakery handles all of the eight major food allergens; dairy, gluten, nuts, peanuts, egg, soya, sesame and sulphites.

 

While we do have in place procedures that cater for customers who are following a special diet or have a food allergy or intolerance, as all of our ingredients and products are stored and handled on the same site we cannot 100 per cent guarantee that there won’t be some cross-contamination.

 

Therefore, we cannot be held liable for any allergic reactions or intolerances after eating our products.

 

If you suffer from any severe allergies or intolerances to any of the above allergens, we would kindly ask you to not eat our products.

 

 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

If either of us fails to comply with these Terms, the relevant party will only be responsible for losses which are a direct and foreseeable consequence of the failure to comply with these Terms.

We will not be responsible for any loss or damage to the goods after you have taken collection or delivery of them except as set out in these Terms.

We cannot accept liability for losses which were not reasonably foreseeable by us when we agreed to supply you with the goods. Accordingly, our maximum liability to you in respect of any Contract will be limited to refunding you the price you paid for the goods in question.

The limitations above do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

The limitations above do not limit our liability under section 2(3) of the Consumer Protection Act 1987.

The limitations above do not limit our liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or for any matter for which it would be unlawful for us to exclude, or attempt to exclude, our liability.

 

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

We pride ourselves at La Rondine on the satisfaction of all customers.

 

Upon collection or delivery of your order, we will show you the products to ensure you are happy.

 

If there is anything you are unhappy with thereafter, please contact us by phone or come to our shop as soon as possible and we will do our best to rectify your concerns.

 

Please note that we can’t accept liability for products damaged once you have collected or received your order.
