Description

Cannoli with Dark Chocolate We make a tube-shaped Sicilian pastry which we then fill with dark chocolate cream.

We coat each end with white chocolate chips before dusting the Cannoli with icing sugar.

Our recipe consists of only the best ingredients.

Who invented Dark Chocolate Cannoli?

Cannoli date back more than a thousand years.

They originated in Sicily between the ninth and eleventh century. Some historians write that Cannoli were first created in Caltanissetta during Arab rule in Sicily.

Others claim Cannoli originate from Palermo and Messina in Sicily.

Cannoli with dark chocolate cream is a more recent variation of the original version.

What does Cannoli mean?

The word Cannolo means ‘little tube’, as it is the shape of the pastry. Some claim that the Cannolo is a fertility symbol given the phallic shape of the pastry.

Cannoli are a staple of Sicilian cuisine and one of the most famous exports from the Italian island.
